The Times Colonist Book Sale is my favourite time of the year . People who know me know I say that too much , but it's true .
The proceeds go to benefit Literacy Victoria , but the sale benefits me most of all . I mean , 22 books for 52 bucks ??? Hell yeah . Yes , some of them are Charlie Brown paperbacks , Simpsons comics , and Mad Magazine paperbacks , some I'll give away to friends and family , and several will be kept by me . I just started reading " Good Grief Charlie Brown " , and the book is even older than I am!
I'm looking forward to digging into the biography of Kemal Ataturk , as well as " The Young Stalin " by Sebag Montefiore . Also novels by Hisham Matar , Rabih Alemeddine , and Shilpi Somaya Gowda . And I picked up Michael Palin's " North Korea Journal " . I think my head may explode .
