Drone Strikes Hit Displacement Tents
Israeli attacks killed three Palestinians on Saturday, including a 10-year-old child who later died from wounds sustained earlier this week, as strikes targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians in the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, two Palestinians were killed and several others were wounded when an Israeli drone struck displacement tents in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.
In Gaza City, another Israeli drone targeted a tent near the Dhabeet intersection on al-Jalaa Street, wounding more than 22 Palestinians, several of them critically.
Earlier in the day, 10-year-old Walid Youssef Abu Jazar died from wounds sustained during an Israeli strike west of Khan Yunis last Tuesday.
Shelling and Ground Operations Continue
Israeli artillery also shelled the eastern areas of al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, while military vehicles and infantry surrounded a home southeast of the camp amid heavy gunfire.
In southern Gaza, artillery targeted areas east and south of Khan Yunis as tanks fired heavily and detonated sound bombs.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces advanced into the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza, accompanied by intense gunfire.
Ceasefire Violations Continue
The latest attacks come amid continued Israeli operations across the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has risen to 1,041, with 3,329 wounded and 786 bodies recovered.
The ministry said the overall death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,054 Palestinians, while 173,437 others have been injured
