BEING "WOKE" IS NOT REVOLUTIONARY

The activism of today is nothing but the selfish whiney bullshit of egocentric assholes trying to find a place for themselves in the existing system while leaving it wholly intact.

Fuck your pronouns and me me me shit. Call yourself whatever the fuck you want. Tear down statues of old racists while leaving their system in place. It fucking means nothing. Changing the name of a street is NOT revolutionary . Look around you and see what a fucked up place the world is , never mind your crying and pissing your pants. See the big fucking picture.

WORKING WITH BLACK PANTHERS,

WORKING FOR REVOLUTION—

NOT “WOKE IDENTITY” BULLSHIT

During the years when I worked closely with the Black Panther Party and its leadership, in its revolutionary days in the 1960s, when there were discussions, and at times disagreements, they did not say to me: “Who are you, as a white man, to talk about the liberation of Black people and revolution—who are you to disagree with us about this?” No—things were never based on “identity,” but on what was true and not trueThat’s what we were all trying to figure out.

This was the case when I first encountered Huey Newton, at an African-American cultural program in Oakland (he approached me and said, “Who are you, Socrates?”—and this led to a back-and-forth about revolution: was it needed, and could this revolution actually be made?). The same was true of later discussions I had with Huey, Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver and other leaders of the Black Panther Party: always the basis and standard was what was true and not true, never what “identity” someone was.

What we were grappling with was how to radically change the world in an emancipating waynot how to carve out a “niche” for ourselves, or how to tear down some other people and climb over them to get a better position for ourselves, in this terrible world as it is, under the domination of this system of capitalism-imperialism.

This is what everyone who cares about the oppressed of the earth and the future of humanity should be grappling with, on the basis of principle and integrity—not the hucksterism and hustling of those seeking to turn “identity” into capital.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS SHIT ?

This is absolute insanity. For this asshole to say that a victim of rape can form a bond and heal through being forced to have a baby conceived from sexual violence is total lunacy . She should never be allowed to fucking speak again.

  • Tudor Dixon, the GOP nominee for Michigan governor, said rape victims and a child born of rape could form a "bond."

  • She used this argument to explain why she wouldn't back a a 14-year-old rape victim getting an abortion.

  • "There was healing through that baby," she said in an interview with Fox 2 Detroit.

Michigan's Republican nominee for governor said in an interview that she believes there's a "bond" that can form between a rape victim and a child born from sexual assault if forced to go through with the pregnancy.

When asked by Fox 2 Detroit anchor Roop Raj whether she'd support a 14-year-old rape victim getting an abortion, nominee Tudor Dixon said had spent time talking with the children of rape victim and believes their birth provides a sense of "healing."

"The bond that those two people made and the fact that out of that tragedy there was healing through that baby, it's something that we don't think about," she said in the interview.

"Those voices — the babies of rape victims — that have come forward are very powerful when you hear their story and what the truth is behind that. It's very hard to not stand up for those people," she continued, per Newsweek.

Abortion rights groups have long warned that people who are forced to carry out a pregnancy that's a result of a rape or sexual assault can experience additional trauma or suffer other health problems.

Dixon earlier this month won Michigan's GOP gubernatorial primary, after receiving an endorsement from former President Donald Trump.

Dixon is a mother of four and a staunch anti-abortion advocate, Insider's Isabella Zavarise reported.

At a campaign stop earlier this month, Dixon made an alarming argument in favor of putting an end to abortion, stating that abortions create "a safe haven for any type of predator out there," The Daily Beast reported.

"If you're a predator there's nothing you like more than abortion. And if you can get a girl an abortion without her parents knowing, you can keep hurting her," Dixon said.

FUCK BIDEN, TRUMP, PUTIN, AND ALL OF THOSE ASSHOLES

It is a universal practice amongst spineless useless lying politicians to blame everything fucked up that goes on while they're in power on the previous administration. It's an easy thing to do, and a fucking cop out.

Roe vs Wade got overturned under biden . The russian invasion of Ukraine was provoked by biden , even though the russian government would probably have done so anyway. The biden government is constantly threatening Iran and North Korea , and continues to stifle Cuba and support israel's genocidal actions against the Palestinians , all with u.s. approval and encouragement .
Fuck u.s. imperialism . biden and trump need to fucking go away.

I often complain that Washington’s heavily lopsided relationship with Israel is an arrangement that brings absolutely no benefit to the American people, and even less to our national security as it has involved the US in an endless series of completely avoidable conflicts. But there is one exception to that generalization, though one hesitates to call it a benefit, consisting of the White House’s adoption of the Israel practice of referring to opponents as “terrorists.” Israel uses it as a generic cover designation to denigrate and humiliate the Palestinians while also delegitimizing their resistance, permitting them to torture and kill Arabs at will, destroy their homes, and bomb them mercilessly. Washington, which claims to be the font of a “rules based international order” as well as the defender of global “democracy” and “freedom,” has developed since 9/11 an unfortunate tendency to do the same thing as the Israelis to justify its attacks on civilians and its brutal assassination policies.

In fact, the US and Israel are generally speaking the only two countries that openly use “targeted assassination” as a political tool without even bothering to fall back on “plausible denial” to conceal their actions. Israel only last week, initiated a politically motivated bombing attack on Gaza, which killed 45 civilians, including seventeen children and destroyed numerous homes. No Israelis were killed or even injured when the Gazans struck back with their home-made rockets. Both the White House and leaders in the US Congress congratulated the Israelis for “exercising their right to defend themselves.”

The principal targets of the Israeli onslaught were two Islamic Jihad leaders whom both Israel and the international media have described as “terrorists” and “militants.” The Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid described the operation as successful as the two men were reported killed. A retired Israeli general went so far as to describe the massacre as “really clean, very nice” and an “exceptional achievement.”

The Israeli action recalls the recent assassination of Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The media coverage described how the Agency relentlessly stalked al-Zawahiri, described as the mastermind of 9/11, eventually learning that the 71-year-old was living in a house in an upscale Kabul neighborhood. It was also determined that he spent most days sitting on a terrace at the top of the house. The hellfire drone that killed him targeted the terrace at the time of day when he was normally sitting outside. Taliban sources report that his body was torn apart and incinerated by the two missiles that apparently struck him.

The White House is, of course, framing the assassination as a great success, a major blow in the war against terror. Joe Biden is hoping that it will improve the administration’s dismal approval ratings in the lead-up to the November elections, but the information given to the media regarding the incident praising the CIA’s tenacity and professional expertise is perhaps a bit over the top. Alternative reports from Afghanistan suggest that al-Zawahiri was living quite openly in Kabul and that he has not been active in any presumably radical activities for many, many years beyond making a number of “conspiracy theory” videos. Both al-Zawahiri and al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden were, at the times when they were assassinated by the US, leading quiet lives with little protection even though they allegedly continued to be nominal leaders of al-Qaeda, an organization that had lost its raison d’etre years before.

Al-Zawahiri’s record as a terrorist comes largely from US and UK intelligence sources as well as media innuendo, which should be automatically considered unreliable. Recall for a moment the lying that the George W. Bush administration engaged in to go to war with Iraq, with folks like Condoleezza Rice speaking of mushroom clouds spewing radiation over the US and a shop in the Pentagon run by a group of neocons producing fabricated intelligence reports. What has been confirmed from independent sources is that al-Zawahiri, an Egyptian medical doctor, was savagely tortured by the secret police during a crackdown on political dissidents initiated by US puppet President Hosni Mubarak. The torture reportedly radicalized him, and he joined Osama bin Laden’s underground group, later apparently becoming its nominal leader after bin Laden was himself killed in May 2011 by US Navy Seals. Much of the rest of al-Zawahiri’s presumed biography relies on little in the way of actual evidence.

What actually happened on 9/11 and who was behind it remains somewhat a mystery as all the apparent perpetrators of which might have occurred are dead. Consider for a moment that Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri never actually admitted that their group al-Qaeda was the perpetrator of the attack. In fact they denied it, sometimes attributing it to other radicalized Saudi Arabian underground groups. Nor is there any actual evidence that they planned the attack. They were accused because they had the claimed track record, resources, motive and possible access to carry out the incident, not because there was any real evidence that they had done the deed. When the US approached the Taliban government of Afghanistan in late 2001 and demanded that bin Laden be turned over to American law enforcement, the Afghans responded that bin Laden was a guest in their country, but they would surrender him if Washington could demonstrate that he had organized and ordered the attacks. George W. Bush’s Pentagon and the CIA apparently could not make that case based on actual evidence, leading to the decision to go to war instead.

Also, of all the hundreds of “terrorist” prisoners that have been recycled through the US military prison at Guantanamo only five have ever been charged with any involvement in 9/11. They are still being held but have never been tried and it is quite possible the case against them can never be made. They might even be completely innocent.

And there is more to the story. Bin Laden could have been arrested and tried but the Barack Obama administration decided to kill him and dump his body at sea, presumably to avoid a courtroom drama that would reveal government malfeasance. And then there are Anwar Nasser al-Awlaki and his son Abdulrahman, both of whom were American citizens killed by CIA drones in Yemen, where their family originated. The al-Awlakis may or may not have been actual members of al-Qaeda, but the elder al-Awlaki’s sermons and writings certainly inspired groups that opposed US foreign policy’s hostility towards Muslims. It is widely believed that Anwar al-Awlaki could have been captured and tried in the US if an attempt to do so had been pursued, but instead the Obama Administration again decided that he should be killed.

Finally, there is the death by drone of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani in January 2000 under President Donald Trump. In a recent book, Trump’s Defense Chief Mark Esper claims that Trump lied after the assassination was criticized by saying that Soleimani was actively preparing “terror” attacks on four American Embassies in the Mideast region. Esper confirms that there was no intelligence to back up that claim, but interestingly goes beyond that to make clear that there was no specific intelligence at all suggesting that such an attack was imminent or even being planned. There were only generic regional security threats that many embassies in the world respond to and make preparations to defend against.

The Esper claim is supported by the Iraqi government itself, which declared that Soleimani, widely regarded as the second most powerful official in Iran after the Ayatollah, was in Baghdad to discuss peace arrangements and that the US Embassy had been informed of his planned trip and had raised no objection to it. Instead, the US used the opportunity to launch an armed drone to kill him and nine Iraqi militia members that were accompanying him from the airport. In other words, there was no imminent threat, nor even a plausible threat, and the US went ahead anyway and killed a senior Iranian government official in a targeted assassination.

So, the United States and Israel have a formula down pat whereby they can kill anyone anywhere without any due process or rule of law, even if they don’t know who you are as in the cases of the “signature” or “profile” executions by drone in Afghanistan. And all the presidents and senior officials know that no matter what they do there will be no accountability. All one has to do is call it terrorism prevention, which might include citing terrorist attacks that can in no way be linked by way of actual evidence to the person being killed. Once a terrorist, always a terrorist, repeat as needed, and the public and media will swoon with pleasure at being so well-protected. And, as the Israeli general described it, the end result will be “really clean, very nice” an “exceptional achievement.”

TEENAGE HEAD

Sadly, Gord Lewis , one of the founding members of Canada's iconic punk pioneers Teenage Head, is gone.
I remember buying their first album in A&B Sound decades ago , and the fascination I had with their version of rock and roll. They weren't "punk" in the traditional snotty Sex Pistols way. They had their own thing going on.
Read please.

Family, friends of Hamilton music 'legend' are 'devastated and conflicted'

Hamilton police have charged a 41-year-old man with second-degree murder after guitarist Gord Lewis of the punk rock band Teenage Head was found dead Sunday.

Brian Lewis, one of Gord's six siblings, told CBC Hamilton he learned Sunday that the musician was dead.

Police said Monday afternoon that Jonathan Lewis has been charged. Gord's family confirmed to CBC that Jonathan is his son.

Brian described Gord, 65, as "gentle, artistic, musically inspirational, loving and loyal."

Teenage Head was formed in the 1970s and is considered to be a pioneer in Canada's punk rock scene. In a statement Monday, the band said it was "heartbroken."

"Our hearts are with his family and all that knew and loved him," the band said on Instagram. "Gord was a force and an inspiration to many. You were taken from us far too soon."

Lou Molinaro, a music promoter in the city and owner of former venue This Ain't Hollywood, told CBC Hamilton on Monday he was saddened and shocked by the news, and called Gord a "legend" in Hamilton and Canada's music scene.

"Gord had a big heart, He was gentle and very caring," Molinaro said.

Emails sent to media seemingly from son

Det.-Sgt. Sarah Beck told reporters the police service learned about multiple emails sent to various news outlets about someone's death.

The emails sent on Sunday to CBC Hamilton and others by someone named Jonathan Lewis stated his father was dead.

Beck said based on the information in the emails, officers visited the apartment on Catharine Street South in the city's Corktown area. As of midday Monday, police were still at the scene, but said they aren't looking for any other suspects.

Beck said police believe they know the victim's identity, but must do an autopsy for a "positive confirmation" due to the "level of decomposition." The victim is thought to have died two or three days ago, police said.

They said it appeared the father and son had been living together.

"Jonathan was arrested shortly after police arrived at the apartment building," Beck said, adding he lived at the apartment, but it belonged to his father.

Family of 'one of Canada's original punks' devastated

Brian said the family is "devastated and conflicted."

"It's the loss of a beloved brother and a very complicated situation," he said.

Brian said Gord loved Andy GriffithThe Honeymooners and The Flintstones

Molinaro said he and Gord were good friends and often talked about baseball, hockey and Hamilton trivia.

The Westdale, a local cinema and performance venue in the neighbourhood where the band formed, said it's postponing an event with lead singer Dave (Rave) DesRoches that had been planned for Monday evening.

Brian said Gord had a lifelong dedication to music: "He always wanted to be in a band."

Molinaro said the band had an "international influence" on the punk rock scene.

Music publicist Eric Alper told CBC Hamilton on Monday that Gord was one of "the original punks in this country."

Alper pointed to Teenage Head playing at The Last Pogo, an infamous late-1970s punk rock concert in Toronto.

"They were one of, probably not just Hamilton's most important bands, but has to be up there in terms of the all-time greats for Ontario and Canada for sure," Alper said.

"We're so apt to talk about the punk scene with the Ramones in the U.S. or the Sex Pistols in the U.K., kind of forgetting we had a pretty vibrant one here."

Molinaro said Gord once helped put together and play a surprise concert for a friend dying of cancer.

"That was just an example of Gord as a person," he said.

"He really valued people … he knew his music made people happy. Gord's music was a soundtrack to many people's lives, including mine, so thankfully the legacy will continue."

MACRON IS IGNORANT AND STUPID

At the same time that macron is addressing his colonial french troops in various African countries, macron has the complete and utter ignorance to point fingers and judge when he is doing very similar things. The man is a fool with zero knowledge about what imperialism means and what the fuck he's doing also. Fuck russian, french, and u.s. imperialism.

Macron calls Russia 'one of the last imperial colonial powers' on Africa visit

French President Emmanuel Macron, on a visit to Benin Wednesday, branded Russia "one of the last imperial colonial powers" for its invasion of Ukraine.

"Russia launched an offensive against Ukraine. It's a territorial war, the likes of which we thought had disappeared from European soil.

"It's a war from the early 20th, even the 19th century," Macron said on the second leg of a trip to Africa to reset France's relations with the continent, where many nations are former French colonies.

"I speak on a continent that has suffered colonial imperialism," Macron added.

Delivering the broadside at a news conference with Benin President Patrice Talon, Macron said "Russia is one of the last imperial colonial powers", because it had decided to "invade a neighbouring country to defend its interests".

Russia sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, triggering a war that has killed thousands, displaced millions and sparked fears of a global food crisis over blocked grain exports.

Macron accused the Kremlin of launching "a new type of hybrid world war".

"It decided that information, energy and food were military instruments placed at the service" of the war in Ukraine, he said.

Macron said he wanted to "describe what's happening today in the baldest terms".

He accused Russia of disruption through "disinformation", describing it as "one of the countries to make the most forceful use of instruments of propaganda".

He referred specifically to the television channels Russia Today and Sputnik.

Simultaneous Russian tour

Russia has cut back on gas deliveries to western Europe and Ukrainian grain has remained blocked in ports since the start of the war, driving a surge in global prices for energy and cereals.

Russia's energy giant Gazprom slashed its gas exports to Europe via the Nord Stream pipeline on Wednesday to about 20 percent of its capacity, German authorities have said.

Ukraine, meanwhile, says it had restarted operations at its Black Sea ports, a key phase to resuming grain exports under a UN-backed deal.

The French leader is on a tour of three African countries — Cameroon, Benin and Guinea-Bissau — that coincides with an African tour by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

In Ethiopia on Wednesday, Lavrov urged a gathering of African diplomats not to back a US-led world order.

It is up to us to decide whether to have a "world where we have (the) so-called collective West... totally subordinated to the United States and feeling... that it has the right to decide when and how to promote its own interests, without following international law", he said.

The West responded to Russia's military incursion into Ukraine by imposing sanctions on Moscow.

In Addis Ababa, Lavrov accused the West of throwing its principles "down the drain... when they needed to do what they believe is to punish Russia".

"I don't have the slightest doubt that if need be, they will not hesitate to do the same in relation to any other country... which would irritate them," he warned.

French pledge of support

In Cameroon on Tuesday, Macron said the archives on French colonial rule in Cameroon would be opened "in full" and asked historians to shed light on the period's "painful moments".

French colonial authorities brutally repressed armed Cameroonian nationalists before the country's independence in 1960.

Tens of thousands of supporters of the Union of the Peoples of Cameroon (UPC) party died at the hands of French colonial troops and of the first post-independence president, Ahmadou Ahidjo.

Daily newsletterReceive essential international news every morning

Macron also pledged that France, "acting in support and at the request of our African partners", would stand by African countries facing security problems.

France is reconfiguring its posture in the Sahel after falling out with the military junta in Mali, the epicentre of a bloody 10-year-old jihadist campaign in the region.

After a pullout from Mali that is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, France's Barkhane anti-jihadist force will have around 2,500 troops in the Sahel, just under half of the deployment at its peak, French officers say.

The force will also make a tactical shift, acting more in a support role for local forces as opposed to taking the lead, they say.
