The first of May is the International Day of The Working Class and all exploited people, except here in north amerikkka, where it's been pushed backed to "labour day" in September, and the day is filled with half-assed picnics hosted by bourgeoisified unions, trying to put forward their watered down labour politics as "progressive". Everywhere else in the world, it's on May the 1st, and there are huge demonstrations with thousands of participants, from weak fake lefties, to Maoists, and anarchists aplenty. And there is the usual anti-fascist march in Germany, where (mostly) anarcho leftists square off against the cops and fascists. Interesting, no? Look this shit up.
May Day 2014
WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT SLAVERY IN ANY FORM HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD!
FIGHT THE POWER, AND TRANSFORM THE PEOPLE, FOR REVOLUTION!
May Day is the revolutionary internationalist holiday of the exploited and oppressed and all those who hate the world as it is and who are fighting for a different future. It's a day when our aspirations for the emancipation of all humanity are put front and center. On these slides are a selection of quotes fromBAsics, from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian. Bob Avakian, "BA," is Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, and BAsics is a handbook for a new generation of revolutionaries.
