This is the book I am currently reading and am almost done. I find it totally riveting. Here was a world class middleweight boxer who was framed on murder charges, and spent twenty years in prison before finally being found not guilty. It's full of new age "finding strength within myself" spiritual stuff, but for some reason I can't put it down. This is a perfect example of a book that if I was to just hear about it from someone else, I probably wouldn't be interested in it. But it's fucking excellent. The man writes with a fire for justice that transcends all of the other shit. Sadly, Rubin Hurricane Carter passed away on April 20th, 2014, but the work he started on behalf of those wrongfully convicted continues.
