Last week I was looking through a copy of the victoria news, one of those local shitrags that people only like so they can look at the fliers to see what's on sale. The front page article featured an article on graffiti in victoria, and quoted the cop in charge of this department as saying that if people are out driving around, and see someone "defacing property", that "they need to call 9-1-1." I had to reread this, because I couldn't believe that even a victoria cop could be this stupid and petty. 9 fucking 1-1, over a kid spray painting ?! This fool was actually telling us to tie up the emergency lines because of this. Either he's totally out of touch with reality, or he needs to inflate the importance of his own useless department. I really doubt that anyone who's ever been on the other end of an emergency call would agree with this bullshit. But of course, there will always be idiots who will go along with anything the "authorities" say, including this crap. Sadly, this typifies victoria, with it's small town hick mentality, but big city problems. And yet somehow, I still love it here. Go figure.
