And of course, do not forget the kkkanadian military, who recently had to be reminded that sexual assault is "inappropriate" ?!!!! What the fuck ? How stupid is that ? Fucking neanderthals. But of course, I shouldn't be talking like this about people who are defending my freedom. How rude. Read this, shitheads....

BUT WAIT, THAT'S NOT ALL !!!!
Taxing the Chinese
Canada passed its first Chinese Immigration Act in 1885, the same year Prime Minister John A. Macdonald was able to muster enough support in Parliament for an electoral franchise act that excluded persons belonging to the Chinese race, and fast on the heels of a Royal Commission on Chinese Immigration.
Justice John Hamilton Gray had recommended in his final report, as a commissioner to the Royal Commission, that the federal government impose a $10 tax on every Chinese man, woman or child disembarking from a ship at a Canadian port. Interestingly, it was Justice Gray who had earlier ruled against the constitutionality of British Columbia’s Chinese Tax Act, in Tai Sing v. Macguire (1878).
Parliament went a step farther, when it assented to the Chinese Immigration Act on July 20, 1885 to impose a $50 head tax on Chinese immigrants to Canada. The Act in its entirety placed an unequal financial burden on Chinese immigrants, attempted to limit new arrivals and interfered with the development of community services that responded to state-sanctioned racism.
Sections included in the Chinese Immigration Act (1885):
s. 4 “. . . every person of Chinese origin shall pay into the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Canada, on entering Canada, at the port or other place of entry, the sum of fifty dollars, except the following persons who shall be exempt from such payment, that is to say, first: the members of the Diplomatic Corps, or other Government representatives and their suite and their servants, consuls and consular agents; and second: tourists, merchants, men of science and students . . .”
s. 5 “No vessel carrying Chinese immigrants to any port in Canada shall carry more than one such immigrant for every fifty tons of its tonnage; and the owner of any such vessel, who carries any number in excess of the number allowed by this section, shall be liable to a penalty of fifty dollars for each person so carried in excess.”
More restrictions
While the former two sections of the Act are widely known, and regarded today as the most discriminatory aspects of the law as it was used against Chinese individuals, further restrictions on the Chinese Canadian community included:
s. 17 “Every person who takes part in the organization of any sort of court or tribunal, composed of Chinese persons, for the hearing and determination of any offence committed by a Chinese person, or in carrying on any such organization, or who takes part in any of its proceedings, or who gives evidence before any such court or tribunal, or assists in carrying into effect any decision of decree, or order of any such court or tribunal, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and is liable to imprisonment for any term not exceeding twelve months, or to a penalty not exceeding five hundred dollars, or to both . . .”
Section 17 was in all likelihood the Canadian government’s response to the establishment the previous year in Victoria, B.C., of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, which was a community initiative in the struggle for both individual and group rights for Chinese in Canada. The CCBA had a role in arbitrating disputes, which was allowed under the Chinese Immigration Act, within the Chinese Canadian community and advocating for justice in its interactions with broader society.
Restrictions were also put on naturalized and Canadian-born Chinese residents in Canada who had to pay a fee of 50 cents to register with local authorities. Travel by any Chinese outside of Canada, after paying the registration fee or the head tax, was also regulated by the government.
Head tax payers received receipts as proof of payment, as well as serving as an identity document that nonetheless could still be challenged by customs officers with the burden of proof lying with the accused.
An accord was also struck between Ottawa and the provinces on collecting the head taxes on Chinese, and included hiring a controller to execute the duties of the Act and a portioning of one-quarter of all money collected being allocated to the provinces from the general treasury.
$50, $100 . . . $500!
The Chinese Immigration Act was amended on several occasions, with important changes in 1900, which doubled the head tax to $100 and required that Chinese leaving Canada must return within a year of departing or face paying the head tax again on their return.
The head tax must have created enough revenue that a 1902 amendment adjusted the provincial share of the tax to half of all revenues; British Columbia would have been the biggest recipient of proceeds from the head tax.
In 1903, the Act was amended again to increase the head tax to $500. The fee was deemed necessary at the time to stem the flow of Chinese immigrants to Canada. This undue burden on Chinese in Canada meant that many men, who had come here to work even before the head tax was imposed, would never be able to bring their families to Canada.
Family separation and dislocation became a reality for many Chinese in Canada at the time. The financial burden of the head tax, now at $500 (said to have been enough to purchase two houses in Montreal at the time), impoverished many Chinese.
Additional amendments continued to enrich federal and provincial governments.
Some exemptions were granted, while others were tightened up. In 1906, a clause was removed that had exempted servants of British persons from paying the tax if both parties returned to China within a year of landing. Two years later, only the “minor” children of merchants and clergymen were exempted; students were no longer exempt, but “duly certified” teachers could avoid paying the head tax. In 1917, the government granted stronger powers to tax controllers, giving immigration officials the right to arrest without warrant any Chinese believed to be illegally in Canada.
In 1921, the law was changed to state that every person of Chinese origin who leaves Canada without registering shall be subject to the $500 head tax, as in the case of first arrival; it added that absence from Canada could be no more than two years, otherwise payment of another $500 would be levied on return.
Restrictions on travel
Chinese who were resident in Canada had to be circumspect in their movement, particularly with respect to travel back to China for familial or business purposes, or on trips elsewhere.
In 1919, a Chinese named Fong Soon landed in court when he was charged with landing in Canada without paying head tax. Soon had paid the tax in 1901 when he first arrived, but in 1918 he made a short trip to Washington State. (see Key Court Cases)
A B.C. court held that Soon did not have to pay the head tax again, and that registrations for travel outside Canada were meant for those who traveled back to China, and not to the United States for a short period of time.
Government collects $23 million
The Canadian government and provinces profited from the hardships their legislation placed on the Chinese. The various head taxes collected over 38 years amassed some $23 million for the government; ironically, this was nearly the amount necessary to pay for the western section of the Canadian Pacific Railway, largely constructed by the Chinese.
Any hope among Chinese still in Canada of working hard to reunite their families was quashed in 1923, when the federal government received assent for an overhaul of the Act that abolished the head tax and simply prohibited Chinese immigration to Canada.

THE NATION'S BIRTHDAY
Here are some images to keep in mind as we head towards kkkanada day. Keep in mind, there is no such thing as " the best country on earth". For example, if Libya is a hellhole, it's because kkkanada played a leading role in destroying that country and letting isis run in. We are all interconnected somehow, assholes.

AGREED
Freddy Gray is dead, and the pig who broke his neck walks free. Fuck this.
This Whole System Must Be Brought DOWN!!!
OUTRAGEOUS!!! Pig Who Killed Freddie Gray Walks Totally Free
Listen to audio of the Message, recorded by members of the Revolution Club
June 23, 2016 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us
For the “crime” of making eye contact with a Baltimore cop and then moving off the scene, Freddie Gray was illegally arrested. By the time the pigs were done with him, they had cut his spine and put him on his death bed. And today the court set totally free the main accused cop.
This is the third pig that has walked! Does this system want us to believe that somehow Freddie Gray murdered himself!?!?!?
No! This must not go down. Not on top of the way this system has dealt with Black people for 400 years… not on top of the way this system sets loose its pigs like occupying armies in the Black and Latino communities… not on top of the way this system provides no future for the millions of Freddie Grays—no future beyond constant pig harassment, a life on the streets, and an early death. This system has absolutely no legitimacy. A system like this must be brought down, as soon as possible.
Bob Avakian, "Yes there's a conspiracy, to get the cops off."
We need a real revolution and the Revolutionary Communist Party is, right now, preparing people for that. And as part of getting ready, the Party calls on people from all walks of life to say HELL NO, right in the streets, right now, in the most powerful possible way to the outrageous whitewash of the murder of Freddie Gray.

PATRIOT
Look at this shit. This fucking scumsucking lowlife, displaying her maple leaf proudly. You can say that she doesn't represent "canadian values", whatever the fuck that means, but I'll bet that many kkkanadians support her actions. There is no such thing as homogeneous "canadian values". Just ask the survivors of residential schools.
Fuck this piece of shit and everyone who thinks like her. She can go back to the sewer she belongs in.

Attack victim now fearing for safety ‘of all Muslim women who wear hijab’
By Hala Ghonaim, The London Free Press
Police released this image of a woman they were seeking after a Muslim woman was attacked in a London grocery store Monday. A London woman, 38, was arrested Tuesday and faces an assault charge. (Supplied photo)

What started off as a hunt for cheese and mushrooms at a London grocery store left a young Muslim mother with a black eye, chipped teeth and heightened fears about the safety of women who wear hijabs.
The 25-year-old mother, who was accosted by a woman who spat on her and pulled her hijab, talked Wednesday with The Free Press about the attack that became a national story.
“I do worry about the safety of all Muslim women who wear hijab,” said the woman, who did not want to be identified.
“Before I thought it was just a statistic that I would see happen to people, but now I know it’s real and it happened to me.”
London police said Wednesday a 38-year-old woman was arrested late Tuesday and is charged with assault.
The Muslim woman is a graduate of Fanshawe College and is on maternity leave from her job as a pharmacy technician.
She was shopping Monday at about 5 p.m. at the Superking Supermarket on Wonderland Road South when she noticed a woman glaring at her and mumbling in a foreign language.
The mother said she asked the woman what her problem was.
The woman then approached the mother who was tending to her four-month-old in a stroller. As five bystanders looked on, the woman began cussing loudly in English, the mother said.
As one of the onlookers tried to help the mother, the attacker spat at the mother.
The mother said she slapped the attacker with the back of her hand as a natural reflex, something she hadn’t done since arriving to Canada from Bangkok at the age of seven.
The attacker yanked the mother by the head and dragged her away from her son who was left unattended. The mother said she was pinned to the wall and punched up to three times in the face.
The mother’s hijab, a religious head covering, fell to her shoulders, revealing her hair that had been covered for 16 years.
“If she was more angry, she might have pushed my baby,” the mother said. “She was so close to where my baby was, she could have done anything. She could’ve pushed the stroller and he would’ve crashed and died.”
As the mother was being assaulted, two more shoppers joined the group watching the attack but no one tried to help her, the mother said.
“I felt embarrassed because at that point everybody was looking at me...I was standing, alone, by myself, in shock.”
Running toward her child, the mother, whose hair remained exposed, called police while watching the attacker walk toward the check out.
The mother said she took a few steps towards the woman and took a picture on her cellphone. The photo of an angry woman wearing a Canada shirt and pointing a finger wildly spread across social media Tuesday morning after the mother’s brother-in-law posted it on Twitter.
Nursing chipped teeth and a black eye, the mother said she agreed with local Muslim leaders who said the attack was hate-motivated.
The grocery store attack comes shortly after another attack on an Iranian Western University student in London late last month.
The international student was punched by two men, who reportedly called him an Arab and told him to go back to his country, while he was spending the afternoon with his girlfriend
The mother said she is seeking comfort from her family and five siblings, three of whom also wear the hijab.
She suggests that the act of aggression toward her was motivated by false representations of Muslims on the news, which she believes inspired the attacker.
Despite feeling marginalized, the mother said she’s a fourth-generation Canadian whose great grandparents moved to Canada from England before laying the foundation to start a life in London.
“I am from here, I am Canadian, you can’t tell me to go home (because) this is my country, too.”

Here it is important to answer the argument that is not infrequently made—including by people whose stance is to oppose religion in general—that while all religious fundamentalism is bad and harmful, there is something particularly evil and dangerous about Islamic fundamentalism. This, for example, is the position of Sam Harris, author of The End of Faith: Religion, Terror and the Future of Reason andLetter to a Christian Nation; and it is the stand rather obviously and quite aggressively insisted on by Christopher Hitchens, whose recent book, and in a concentrated way its title, God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, encapsulates the contradiction I am speaking to here. On the one hand, as expressed in the secondary part of the title, Hitchens' book is a broadside against religion in general; but the first, and main, part of the title involves—and is no doubt meant to involve—a very definite salvo directed against Islam in particular: it is a "negative echo," so to speak, of the common Islamic invocation: God is Great. It is not hard to see how this position dovetails rather neatly with that of the Bush regime and the U.S. imperialists in general with their "war on terror" and its declared target of "Islamic extremists."
To begin with, from what has been shown so far, it should be very clear that, with regard to the scriptures and the religious tradition of Christianity there is no basis for arguing that it is, in any fundamental or essential sense, different from or better than Islam. Any attempt to take this up and apply it—and still more to impose and enforce it—in a literalist sense, insisting that it is the "inerrant word of God" which must be followed to the letter, as the Christian fundamentalists do, can indeed only lead to horrors of the greatest magnitude. Once more, all this is something which humanity needs to move beyond and forever leave behind.

Perhaps in recognition of the reality that there is nothing to choose between Islamic fundamentalism and Christian fundamentalism, as such and on the level of the literal word, a common component of the position that somehow Islamic fundamentalism is worse than fundamentalist Christianity is the argument that, yes, the latter may be just as awful in its content, but particularly in a country like the U.S.—where it is increasingly hard to ignore or deny that Christian fundamentalism is a major phenomenon—the effect it can have and the danger it poses is restrained and mitigated by the fact that one of the pillars of Constitutional government in this country is the separation of church and state. Well, first of all, that separation, while real, has always been anything but absolute; and, moreover, it is a separation that is under concerted attack by the Christian fundamentalists and powerful forces in the ruling class representing, or allied with, these fundamentalists (while the sections of the ruling class that are not themselves advocates of this religious fundamentalism are at great pains to compromise and conciliate with it and to promote religion in public life—witness, as just one example, the repeated professions of profound religious faith on the part of every major candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination). The danger posed by theocratic Christian Fascists—and the lack of any real ruling class opposition to this—is very real. And this assault on the separation of church and state has not at all been rendered toothless, or strategically weakened, by the fact that Bush has become an extremely unpopular president.1
Generally speaking (although not uniformly so) it is true that in the parts of the world where Islam is the dominant religion, there has not been the same phenomenon of a bourgeois-democratic transformation of society that has occurred in countries like the U.S., in which one of the main aspects of that transformation has been a (relative) separation of church and state. The prevailing, and institutionalized, doctrine and tenets of Islam reject a separation between religion, on the one hand, and politics and the law, on the other hand, as well as between religion and what is generally referred to as "civil society". But that has been true of Christianity, and the states where Christianity has been the dominant religion, for most of their history—and it is only a relatively recent period, historically speaking, that has seen a change in this, through the kind of bourgeois-democratic transformation to which I have referred. And it is important to recognize that, as a rule, it is those countries which have undergone such a bourgeois-democratic transformation, as part of the emergence and triumph of the capitalist system, which have developed into imperialist powers, and whose imperialist conquest and domination of countries throughout the Third World, including those where Islam is the dominant religion, has been a major factor in obstructing, in those countries, the kind of transformation that would involve the separation of church and state. The relative "backwardness" of those Third World countries has repeatedly been invoked as justification for colonialism and imperialist conquest. And, in turn, this imperialist conquest and exploitation, with all the consequences it has led to, including the installing and backing of corrupt and tyrannical "local governments" and the devastation of much of the way of life and the living conditions of the large majority of the population, has actually strengthened tendencies which identify ideas associated with "the West"—such as the progressive aspects of the Enlightenment, with its spur to critical thinking, its challenging of religious dogma, and its contribution to the separation of politics from official religion—as alien and antagonistic to the needs of the people.

This speaks to the argument that is also frequently raised that, even if it is true that the ideas embodied in Christian fundamentalism are every bit as bad as those of Islamic fundamentalism, there is a great difference in that Christian fundamentalists do not go around blowing up people and buildings and generally engaging in terrorist activity, while such activity is common among Islamic fundamentalists. Besides the fact that Christian fundamentalists have indeed engaged in acts of terror, including within the U.S.—such as the bombing of clinics where abortions are performed and the murder of doctors who perform abortions—and that Christian fundamentalist forces are being "primed" to carry out reactionary violence on a much greater scale, should that be deemed necessary by those for whom they are in fact being readied as shock and storm troops—there is the reality that, up to this point, violence which serves ends that are passionately supported by the Christian Fascist fundamentalists has been carried out on a massive scale by the imperialist ruling class of the U.S., utilizing the armed forces and police of the imperialist state—with more of that violence currently being threatened (such as an attack on Iran, in addition to the wars presently being waged in Iraq and Afghanistan). And one of the distinguishing features of those armed forces in this period is precisely that they are being increasingly influenced by, and even indoctrinated with, a fundamentalist Christian Fascist outlook, from the top levels of the military on down.2 Therefore, up until now at least, there has not been a need or compulsion among Christian Fascist fundamentalists to engage in terrorist activity and reactionary violence on a large scale, separately from the "official" armed forces and police of the ruling class—although, again, it has certainly been carried out by Christian Fascists on a smaller scale and there is definitely the potential for this to be carried out on a much wider scale.
All this, once again, is a reflection of the "lopsided" relations of a world which is dominated by a handful of imperialist countries, and one imperialist superpower in particular at this time, while the great majority of countries, and of people, in the world, and particularly in the Third World, endure extreme conditions of poverty, exploitation, massive dislocation and upheaval—all enforced on the basis of imperialist rule.
In today's world, a particular expression of these contradictions is the mutually reinforcing opposition between imperialist globalization and its effects, on the one hand, and Jihadist Islamic fundamentalism on the other hand. Utilizing a phrase (actually a book title) from Benjamin R. Barber, who refers to the phenomenon of "Jihad vs. McWorld," and expanding on this to include the element in which Christian Fascist fundamentalism is in fact a significant element within the prevailing program and ideology of the imperialist ruling class of the U.S., I have put it this way:
What we see in contention here with Jihad on the one hand and McWorld/McCrusade on the other hand, are historically outmoded strata among colonized and oppressed humanity up against historically outmoded ruling strata of the imperialist system. These two reactionary poles reinforce each other, even while opposing each other. If you side with either of these 'outmodeds,' you ended up strengthening both.
This speaks precisely to what is wrong with the position that somehow Islamic fundamentalism is worse than Christian Fundamentalism and to how that position lends support to the "historically outmoded ruling class of the imperialist system." And, as I have also emphasized in relation to these "two outmodeds":
it is important to be clear about which has done and continues to do the greater damage, which has posed and does pose the greater threat to humanity. Clearly, and by far, it is "the ruling strata of the imperialist system."It is interesting, I recently heard about a comment that someone made relating to this, which I do think is correct and getting at something important. In relation to these "two historically outmodeds," they made the point: "You could say that the Islamic fundamentalist forces in the world would be largely dormant if it weren't for what the U.S. and its allies have done and are doing in the world—but you cannot say the opposite." There is a profound truth captured in that statement. As a matter of general principle, and specifically sitting in this imperialist country, we have a particular responsibility to oppose U.S. imperialism, our "own" ruling class, and what it is doing in the world. But, at the same time, that doesn't make these Islamic fundamentalist forces not historically outmoded and not reactionary. It doesn't change the character of their opposition to imperialism and what it leads to and the dynamic that it's part of—the fact that these two "historically outmodeds" do reinforce each other, even while opposing each other. And it is very important to understand, and to struggle for others to understand, that if you end up supporting either one of these two "historically outmodeds," you contribute to strengthening both. It is crucial to break out of that dynamic—to bring forward another way." (See Bringing Forward Another Way)

1. Besides what I, and our Party generally, have been doing to call attention to and build opposition to Christian Fascism, a number of others have also, from various points of view, been giving emphasis to the dangers posed by right-wing Christian fundamentalists. See, for example, American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America, by Chris Hedges; The Baptizing of America: The Religious Right's Plans for the Rest of Us, by Rabbi James Rudin; The Theocons: Secular America Under Siege, by Damon Linker; Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism, by Michelle Goldberg; With God on Their Side: How Christian Fundamentalists Trampled Science, Policy, and Democracy in George W. Bush's White House, by Esther Kaplan; and Contempt: How the Right Is Wronging American Justice, by Catherine Crier. [back]
2. Regarding the influence of Christian Fascism within the U.S. military (and in particular its higher ranks), in addition to the continuing exposure and analysis of this which is found in Revolution newspaper (available at revcom.us), see for exampleMaking the Corps, by Thomas Ricks (Scribner, 1997), and Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War, by Mark Bowden (Atlantic Monthly Press, 1999)—both of which were written before the advent of the Bush Presidency which has been marked by an increasing growth of and support for Christian fundamentalism within the U.S. military. Also, a very relevant phenomenon in regard to all this is the emergence of “private” military organizations, such as Blackwater, which has played a very significant, and very brutal, role in the U.S. occupation of Iraq, as well as within the U.S. itself—for example, New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. And it is worth noting that Blackwater itself is characterized by a fundamentalist Christian Fascist worldview and ethos. [back]

The United States of Amnesia:
Remember Eric Rudolph, The Christian Fascist LGBT Nightclub Bomber?
June 20, 2016 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us
From a reader:
Reading most of the media coverage of the Orlando massacre, you’d think Islamic fundamentalists have a lock on deadly attacks on LGBT people. But in February 1997, another violent defender of patriarchy, the Christian fascist Eric Rudolph, bombed the Otherside Lounge, a lesbian club in Atlanta. In his own words: “The attack itself was meant to send a powerful message in protest of Washington’s continued tolerance and support for the homosexual political agenda.... Whether it is gay marriage, homosexual adoption, hate crimes laws including gays, or the attempt to introduce a homosexual normalizing curriculum into our schools, all of these efforts should be ruthlessly opposed. The existence of our culture depends upon it.”
Rudolph was thorough in his defense of patriarchy, or as he called it, “our culture.” In 1996, during the summer Olympics, he set off two bombs at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, killing two people and injuring more than 100—and ranted against the government’s “abominable sanctioning of abortion on demand.” In 1997, just before he bombed the Otherside, he set off a bomb at an abortion clinic in Sandy Springs, an Atlanta suburb. In 1998, he bombed a Birmingham abortion clinic, killing one person and maiming another.

UNLESS AND UNTIL....
Unless and Until...
June 12, 2016 | Revolution Newspaper | revcom.us
Photo: Sincerray/@215imagesworks
Think of it:
Think of the many different peoples who lived on the land that is now called America, numbering in the millions and millions... think how their lands were stolen and their cultures were attacked and think how—in all too many cases—whole peoples were totally wiped out, with those who remained (if any did) put into open-air concentration camps called reservations—and not just for a few years, but for hundreds of years, generation after generation after generation... right down to today...
Think of the people stolen from Africa—12 million in all!—kidnapped and put in chains to work as slaves, with one-third of them dying in the voyage over the Atlantic or in the first year here, and think then of entire generations being chained down, whipped, lynched, raped... with their names and cultures stolen from them... regarded and treated as less than human, with children sold away from their parents and adults sold away from their loved ones... and again not just for a few years, but for hundreds of years, generation after generation after generation... and then, even after the destruction of slavery through the Civil War, another 150 years of lynching, Jim Crow, last-hired-first-fired, murder by police and mass incarceration...
Think of the great wealth accumulated from this stolen land and labor through those generations, concentrated into the hands of a few, and then made the basis for the construction of a horrendous killing machine that went all over the world, from Asia to Africa, from Latin America to the Middle East, carrying out wars that slaughtered millions and millions and millions, grinding up and mutilating cultures, ruling over whole nations and peoples with dictators that they installed... and once again, not just for a few years, but for scores and scores of years, generation after generation... and not just in the past, but right down to today, with vast parts of the world turned into sweatshops for these monsters and other parts left to rot...
The bones and flesh of those hundreds of millions through the generations form the foundation of the material wealth that is the basis for the "American dream"— the lie that this is somehow a "great country," one which offers the promise of a better world and a "more perfect union" to those who live here, and which should be the ideal of those who don't. And still today, as these imperialists dominate and pollute and plunder, new generations in the hundreds of millions and more all over the planet find themselves drained of their lifeblood and their very lives to produce yet more wealth, to maintain and reproduce all the chains of horror. The military power produced on the basis of that cruelly amassed wealth continues to be wielded today all over the world by this government, in the service of defending that blood-soaked plunder and amassing even more of it.
And now we have the presidential candidates vying to be "commander in chief" of it all—competing to be able to rain down slaughter and/or enforce misery on people all over the planet—with hundreds of millions here in the homeland told that the most important thing we can do is to decide which one of these criminals gets their shot to run the whole ugly thing.
Unless and until people are led, as Bob Avakian recently put it, "to fully confront the actual history of this country and its role in the world up to today, and the terrible consequences of this," unless and until they come to grips with this, the real history of this country, the real basis of the "land of opportunity" and the "democratic system" that its rulers so endlessly brag about and its culture so hypocritically, disgustingly and self-blindingly celebrates—there can be no "real and lasting change for the better."
The series "American Crime" lays bare that "actual history" and that "role in the world up to today." Our aim is not to get those who read it to continue making their way in the world as they have been, but now with a conscience laden with the real knowledge of what this country has done. No. The purpose, rather, is to morally compel and intellectually drive you to do the rest of the very important work called for by BA in the rest of that brief but essential statement:
...to dig seriously and scientifically into how this system of capitalism-imperialism actually works, and what this actually causes in the world.
And
...to look deeply into the solution to all this.
Only on that basis can there be genuine hope for a better world.

DEFENDING INJUSTICE AND EXPLOITATION
It is normal and natural for this vicious murdering system to want to defend itself, and of course to go after those people who want to put an end to injustice , rape, inequality, genocide and imperialism. In other words, everything this system is built upon, despite their pious declarations about their bullshit democracy and so called "freedom", which in reality, only means their freedom to exploit and suppress the people to the fullest extent possible. It is also natural and right for Revolutionaries to fight to put an end to all of this, and to organize to bring this shit down and put something far better in it's place.
They will go after the Revolutionaries, and it is up to us to defend them. Read this.

Revolution Club Arrested Taking the Message That It's Time to Get Organized for an Actual Revolution to the Downtown LA Criminal Courthouse

Wednesday morning, June 15, 8 people with the Revolution Club were illegally arrested in front of the Los Angeles Criminal Courthouse. They were bringing the Message from the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party that begins: “The Revolutionary Communist Party IS ORGANIZING NOW TO OVERTHROW THIS SYSTEM AT THE SOONEST POSSIBLE TIME. Preparing to lead an actual revolution to bring about a radically new and better society: the New Socialist Republic in North America.”
Members of the Revolution Club were marching in formation, distributing this message and exposing the reality of what goes on in the meat grinder of the Criminal Courthouse, which is itself criminal and part of enforcing a criminal system. After an hour, the LA County Sheriffs arbitrarily decided to stop this completely legal gathering and arrested all those marching. They were given no warning and had broken no laws.
While members of the Revolution Club were under arrest, the LA Sheriffs threatened and attempted to intimidate them. When one of the Sheriffs was called out for threatening one of the revolutionaries, he said: “I'm looking out for me because 'white lives matter' here.” These are the same Sheriffs whose vicious and bloody brutality against people held in their jails and people who visit them has been exposed over the last several years.
The revolutionaries were charged with a misdemeanor, “picketing near a courthouse to obstruct justice.” Given the amount of INjustice that goes on in that courthouse, this charge is a bitter irony. They weren't obstructing anything but were making known there is a force that is serious about bringing into being a whole different world through revolution—which they had every right to do. This is a serious charge with up to 180 days in jail.
Because of the crimes and outrages committed every day in their halls of power, this courthouse has been the site of innumerable protests, and the Revolution Club had every right to be there. What the LA authorities found intolerable was the message of revolution and the challenge to their illegitimate authority.
This cannot be allowed to stand.
This message of revolution needs to reach into every corner of society, including to all those who are ground up through the system's courthouses every day and given no future under this system.

Time To Get Organized for an ACTUAL Revolution
Message from the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA
The Revolutionary Communist Party
IS ORGANIZING NOW TO OVERTHROW THIS
SYSTEM AT THE SOONEST POSSIBLE TIME.
Preparing to lead an actual revolution to bring
about a radically new and better society:
the New Socialist Republic in North America.
The problem: this system. This system drives refugees and immigrants into exploitation, horror and death. This system wages brutal wars of slaughter. This system destroys the environment. This system locks down generations of Black and Brown youth, brutalizing and incarcerating them and even blowing them away—or else setting them up to fight and kill each other, when they should be fighting the REAL enemy. This system conditions men to disrespect and brutalize women, when the fury of women must be unleashed for revolution. This system—capitalism-imperialism—must be overthrown.
The solution: REVOLUTION–nothing less! Revolution where millions go up against, defeat and dismantle the system’s armed forces of violent suppression. Revolution that sets up a totally new power, with a different economy and different ways people relate to each other.
The goal of this new revolutionary power is communism: a world where people are no longer divided into rich and poor, masters and slaves, rulers and ruled. No longer fighting and slaughtering each other, but working together for the common good. No longer locked in ignorance, but consciously understanding, and changing, the world. No longer destroying the earth, but acting as its caretakers. This is possible, humanity has developed the basis for such a world; it is the system of capitalism that is in the way.
The leadership: Bob Avakian, BA, the leader of the RCP, has developed scientific theory on a world-class level. At the same time, BA deeply understands and connects with the most oppressed.
BA breaks down why reality is the way it is, and how people can change it for the better. He’s learned from the achievements and the shortcomings of past revolutions, and brought forward a much more scientific approach to the big problems facing humanity. This is the new synthesis of communism.
BA has developed answers to why this system can’t be reformed... how revolutionary forces could grow from weak to strong, and actuallydefeat the enemy...how people could then build a new society on the road to emancipating humanity throughout the world ...and how to wage the struggles of today to reach that goal.
BA’s leadership is a huge strength for the revolution: to follow, to learn from, to defend.
How to move today: The all-out struggle for power is a serious thing, and it can only be won when the system is in deep crisis and millions are ready to put everything on the line. Today is not yet that time... but today IS the time to urgently prepare for that.
1 Go to www.revcom.us every day.—the lifeline that cuts through events to reveal the need for revolution and how to move now to hasten, and prepare for, that revolution.
2 Join the Revolution Club. Revolution requires organization: the Revolution Club is where you get organized to fight the power today to STOP the horrors of the system, and to transform the people, FOR REVOLUTION. Revolution requires a scientific approach: the Revolution Club is where you learn BA’s new synthesis of communism, and how to apply it to solve the challenges we face.
The Revolution Club moves boldly and it moves wisely, up in the face of the enemy, projecting revolution into every corner of society.
All of this is part of going for a revolution that we, the RCP, have taken the responsibility to lead. There’s a whole other way to live and fight and even die to change the world – a strategy to do that and a way, right now, to make that real.
Prepare the ground, prepare the people, and prepare the vanguard—get ready for the time when millions can be led to go for revolution, all-out, with a real chance to win.

Points of Attention for the Revolution
The Revolution Club upholds, lives by and fights for the following principles:
1 We base ourselves on and strive to represent the highest interests of humanity: revolution and communism. We do not tolerate using the revolution for personal gain.
2 We fight for a world where ALL the chains are broken. Women, men, and differently gendered people are equals and comrades. We do not tolerate physically or verbally abusing women or treating them as sexual objects, nor do we tolerate insults or “jokes” about people’s gender or sexual orientation.
3 We fight for a world without borders, and for equality among different peoples, cultures and languages. We do not tolerate insults, “jokes” or derogatory names about a person’s race, nationality, or language.
4 We stand with the most oppressed and never lose sight of their potential to emancipate humanity—nor of our responsibility to lead them to do that. We work to win people of all backgrounds to take part in the revolution, and do not tolerate revenge among the people.
5 We search for and fight for the truth no matter how unpopular, even as we listen to and learn from the observations, insights and criticisms of others.
6 We are going for an actual overthrow of this system and a whole better way beyond the destructive, vicious conflicts of today between the people. Because we are serious, at this stage we do not initiate violence and we oppose all violence against the people and among the people.
