Last night I went to see the premier of the Victoria punk rock documentary, " Somewhere To Go ". I am not a huge nostalgia guy, but this film brought home why I am still involved with this music and people, and also showed the depth, heart, intelligence, creativity, and commitment of so many involved in this scene. Paulina Ortlieb took five years to put this together, with the invaluable assistance of Rob Nesbitt and Steve Bailey, and it shows. Very professionally done without being too slick, and some great interviews with members of The Neos, The Dayglows, NoMeansNo , Dustin Schwam, Jake Warren, Joey Shithead, Andy Kerr, Scott Henderson, Tyler Forslund , Roy AWT, and many many more. I look forward to owning my own copy one day. See it as soon as you get the chance.
