The idiotic mayor of victoria, lisa helps, is absolutely fucking glowing over the new "protected bike lanes " she and her stupid liberal cronies have installed in this fucked up town. The motivation for doing so might be okay ( pollution, safety, etc. ) , but over 9 million dollars by the end of 2018 ? Give me a fucking break. I wonder how the addicts and mentally ill people I see early in the morning right beside the bike lanes feel about it ? Do they know ? Do they have other things on their minds ? I know a lot of this should fall on the provincial government ( and they are complete assholes ), but 9 million would have bought a fair amount of trauma counselling and other forms of treatment. But no, those smug motherfuckers are congratulating themselves over bike lanes. The contrast I see every day between the new bike lanes and those people who live lives of desperation is too fucking much. Every level of fucking government has to fucking go.
