VALIDATION

I'm not the type of person that requires a lot of validation when it comes to anything I set out to do, believe in, support, etc. I don't give a fuck about what everybody else wants to do or think , especially if I think it's stupid. Which might explain why I'm still into punk/hardcore and skateboarding , not to mention the quite non-mainstream political views I hold . I don't need your respect or approval , and I don't give a fuck if you don't like it. I don't set out to offend, but if you are offended, then go fuck yourself. That's your problem.
   All of this is leading to the show I went to last night, where I saw the electrifying performance of locals Shallow End  . On the surface you might think they're another metallic tough guy hardcore band, but they are so much more than that. There are layers , and these guys are sincere and put their hearts into what they do. As I said, I do not need validation, but these guys confirm for me everything I love about hardcore. They have a new EP coming out, "Urban Decay ", which you will buy to support this band. I hear it may be out on cassette , which is fucking awesome in my books. I will wear that shit out in the ol' Buick. The bottom line is, these people are into it for the right reasons, and I am so glad I went out to see them last night.
