THE GOOD SHIT

This past weekend I had the good fortune to go to two shows in a row, both times to see the local bands, despite there being touring bands with them. I will only speak of the bands I was into.
The first night ( Friday )
saw fresh locals Knife Manual in an opening slot, and they fucking slayed the place . Each time I see them they get better , and their under 20 minute sets leave you wanting more, but in a good way . Short , sharp, to the fucking point , they are currently my favourite new local band . Go see them , idiots !

The following night saw Shallow End headline a packed house at Logan's . I couldn't believe the turnout, and yet I hardly knew anyone there. Sure, the music was more metallic hardcore, but still , I didn't think there were two completely different scenes in a town this size . Shallow End were by far the best band of the night , with their heavy riffing and Dave being an amazing  frontman . Get their new cassette. You will fucking love it.

I think it's tremendous that we live in a place where you have so many great bands of so many different styles right within your own area code, although 604 is great also .
Support the local shit. It's all there if you want it.
