If it wasn't for punk rock, specifically The Clash , I might have never dug as deeply into reggae music as I have over the years.
No , I'm not talking about every douchebag in the world with their Bob Marley Greatest Hits collection ( although that's fine too ) , I'm talking about the heavy militants like Prince Far I, Peter Tosh, Linton Kwesi Johnson , and many others .
In fact I just bought yet another Prince Far I CD two weeks ago.
Listen to him here. He truly is "The Voice Of Thunder", and was uncompromising with his message and delivery. Also he was yet another victim of an unsolved murder back in 1983.
I will never tire of his heavy sound.
