The PC nonsense about saying a pointless "land acknowledgement" at every meeting and event is just a screen for inaction and only serves to make the middle class liberal feel that they have a heightened awareness of social injustice.They don't.
Will any of the land be given back ? They say it's "unceded" , so stop building your fucking million dollar condos on it and give it the fuck back. All the acknowledgement does is make the person saying it feel better , and in fact is a way of ending the struggle and not continuing it.
How many Indigenous people live in those new highrises downtown ? How many are living and dying on the streets in the shadows of wealth ? Acknowledge that, assholes .
