I took the day off work tomorrow so I could go see The Dayglos at Lucky Bar, and it was 100% worth it. Watching Murray rage up on stage after beating cancer can only be described as an emotional uplifting experience. It also helps that Matt and Marc are the perfect bandmates for him, and you get a winning combination. Scott Henderson joined them on stage for three songs, with Matt picking up second guitar while Scott played bass. Scott turns 65 on Monday. This is also inspirational. They fucking raged.
The Keg Killers took rock and roll to the next level with some fine bloodletting near the end of their set. Dustin was in great form, and the band sounded fantastic !
Thee Gnar Gnars were super high energy this evening, and they had Bloody Betty join them for their rendition of "Lola". If you missed it, you're sad.
I got there just in time for the very end of Dirt Nap's set . By all accounts, they tore the place up.
It was an amazing night, and I am happy I was there.
