If you stay with hardcore, and/or Revolutionary politics for any great length of time, you will meet people who are amazed to learn you have stuck with it. Meanwhile, they will have "outgrown" all of that, and moved on to comfortably ignorant middle class lifestyles, leaving all of that radical shit behind. How fucking nice for them. Meanwhile, the world does not have the luxury of "leaving all of that shit behind". Western imperialism has gotten even more rapacious and vicious than it was ten or twenty years ago. Children and women are being sold into slavery, smaller countries are being invaded and robbed by the larger and richer ones, cops are shooting people down in the fucking streets, and the attacks on womens' rights continue all over the world. How nice that you can leave all of that behind. Billions of others do not have that option, and your fucking obama and trudeau will not change a fucking thing, because they believe in their own imperialism, and will fight to preserve and extend it. Fuck them, their system, and their electoral circus.
