I don't give a shit about most "celebrities", whether they are involved in music, acting, directing,or whatever. Most of them are self absorbed pretentious bourgeois assholes, who tend to embrace one or another cause when their career starts evaporating, like the empty bullshit it usually is.
But one person who has gotten my attention is Quentin Tarantino. Yes, I've enjoyed a few of his movies, like everybody else, but he has taken a stand that is significantly more dangerous and bold than just joining PETA, or some other non threatening organization. He is standing up against police murder and brutality, and is under threat of some stupid boycott from the pigs because of this. "Oh no, the cops won't come to my movies". Who gives a fuck?
