ANOTHER SUCCESS !

This weekend was the Jay Brown Memorial Show and Cancer Agency Benefit, with over 1400 dollars being raised over two nights. As I've mentioned before, this is my favourite show of the year to play, and this year was no exception.
The night started out with newcomers Riffheist, whose members are only new in this particular incarnation, having been around in many other bands previous to this. And they were fucking great ! Driving mid-tempo/fast songs with heaviness, and who knew that Gino ( formerly of AWT) could actually sing lead? But he can. See them when you get the chance!
Next up were Total Shit, who were anything but that ! They are made up of Team Shitty members, and fucking rock out some angry short socially conscious hardcore songs. And yes, I bought the t-shirt. You should too.
The Mags are no strangers to our wacky little scene, and pummeled us with their unrelenting rock and roll. Their energy was turned up to ten that night. Fuck yes.
The Gnar Gnars are one of those bands who I have absolutely nothing in common with lyrically, but they will entertain you, mainly through the frenetic performance of the frontman, Brains. The guy cracks me up, and they were tight as hell.
We also played, and enjoyed the crazy ass crowd. All in all, excellent times indeed.

And Scott Fraser took some great shots of all of the bands.
I will write about the second night tomorrow, as I have to head out to work.
      Thank you.
