I have finished reading "I Am Zlatan Ibrahimovic", an autobiography of the famous Swedish born footballer, who is of Croatian and Bosnian heritage. It is a true rags to riches story, and Zlatan's temper, attitude, and talent makes for a very entertaining read. Despite the sometimes overinflated arrogance, he really has a heart underneath it all.
I have just started "The New Jim Crow" by Michelle Alexander, which is about how the mass incarceration of Black people and other minorities is nothing short of a new form of social control, taking the place of slavery and jim crow laws. I'm only into the first third of it, and it's already eye opening. Read it.
And I am re-re-re-reading this...
actually, I am more studying it than anything else, as it's worth going into again and again. Uh-oh, there goes another mindless commie zombie.....
