Israel-Hamas war live: Death toll climbs as Israel ramps up attacks in Gaza
- At least 165 Palestinians have been killed and 250 injured in the last 24 hours, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
- At least 14 people have been detained by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank in overnight raids, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society said in a statement.
- South Africa has initiated war crimes proceedings against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), saying operations in Gaza amount to “genocide”.
- In Gaza, at least 21,672 people have been killed and 56.165 injured in Israeli attacks since October 7. The death toll from Hamas’s attack on Israel stands at 1,139.
